The tour will start spending a few hours for a rapid visit of Salerno. We will walk along the seafront and through the old town centre, where we will visit the most important monuments of the town and the Cathedral Dome, one of the most sublime expression of the Romanesque architecture in Campania. We will reach later a famous agricultural company in proximity to the Greek temples in Paestum. Surrounded by the green, it will be possible to attend to the buffalo farming and participate to a mini cooking class, leaded by a very famous cook, who has already been guest in various radio advertisements in New York. Homemade pasta and pizza in wood oven will be prepared, with the degustation of dairy products and local wine! During the cooking class will be used the products grown in the farm. After lunch we will reach the archaeological area of Paestum, the ancient Poseidonia, to attend to a guided visit of the Greek temples built between the VI and the V century b.C. The visit will continue at the rich archaeological Museum, where invaluable historical finds are conserved, such as the painted sheet of the famous “Tomb of the Diver”, an unicum in the overview of the Greek city necropolis.
